Satrangi Sambhara

Sambhara is half cooked curry. Something between curry and salad. This is everybody's favorite one.


Category :Vegan, low fat, gluten free, Nut free

Preparation Time : 15 min.
Cooking Time :8-10 min.
Skill level : easy

Ingredients :

1 ts oil
1 ts mustard seeds
1/2 ts turmeric
2-3 green chilies cut lengthwise
1/2 ts asafoetida
1 c cabbage finely cut
1/3 red capsicum diced
1 zucchini diced
1 carrot diced
4" white horseradish diced
10 dates sliced
salt as needed
a splash of water

1. In a wok heat oil, add mustard seeds.
2. After mustard seed pops add green chilies, turmeric and asafoetida.
3. After 1/2 min. add veggies.
4. Give it just a splash of water. Cook for 6-7 min, moving content occasionally.
5 Add dates and salt cook 1-2 min more.
6. Serve hot.

Preparation Time :15 min.
Cooking Time: 15 min.
Skill level : easy

Ingredients :
oil 1 ts
1 ts cumin seeds
1 green capsicum diced
1 red capsicum diced
1 onion 1" diced
1 zucchini diced
2 carrots diced
1 potato thinly diced
2 clove garlic minced
1/4 ts ginger grated finely
2 ts no fuss BBQ masala
salt if needed


1. In a wok heat oil.
2. Add cumin in the oil.
3.When cumin flutters add potato and give it a nice stir to coat it with oil because of  starch potato sticks easily to the wok.
4. Add other veggies.
5. Cook for 10 min. or until  potato is almost done, stirring occasionally.
6. Add ginger, garlic
7. Add salt, bbq masala and turn heat off


Vegan BBQ corn potato

Preparation Time : 5 min.
Cooking Time: 15 min.
Skill level : easy

Ingredients :
paste:
2 tbs no fuss bbq masala
20 mint leaves finely chopped
1/4 ts ginger paste
1 ts garlic paste
1 tbs lemon juice
1 ts water
salt if needed

5 baby potato cut in half
2 big corn ears sliced 1"

BBQ skewers 3

1. Mix paste ingredients.
2. Marinate vegetables for 1/2 an hour in mix.
3. Thread vegetables on skewers.
4. Grill them.


No Fuss BBQ Masala

Ingredients :
1 ts coriander powder
1/2 ts nutmag powder
1 tbs cumin powder
1 ts chili powder
2 ts turmeric powder
1/2 ts asafoetida
1 tbs besan (chick pea flour)
salt as needed

1 tbs  sesame seeds

1. Mix everything
2. store in a airtight container.
