Cosmopolitan

Very attractive hues of red and sweet/ tart flavor of cherry as well as lemon make this drink one of the favorite one.

Ingredients:
1 tbs agave syrup
1 tbs lemon juice
2 tbs raspberries sauce
1 tbs water.
5-6 cubes lime ice
1/2 c soda
Garnish:
2 Maraschino cherry

1. In a shaker, add raspberry sauce and water, shake and pour in chilled martini glass.
2. Now add ice, lemon juice and agave syrup and pour it on top of sauce mix.
3. Add soda and garnish with floating cherries.
4. Serve the mocktail immediately.

Fresh Raspberry Sauce

Summer time berries have everything, taste, vibrant color and fragrance to lure the taste buds.

Ingredients:
1 c cleaned raspberries fresh or frozen
1/2 c sugar
1 tbs water
1 tbs lemon juice

1. Cook everything together for 10 min at medium heat.
2. Let it cool.
3. Fill it in cleaned glass container and refrigerate, use it within 1 week.

* for keeping it longer boil  till jelly stage.
* If the raspberries are frozen and thawed, it will give more syrupy consistency. If not desired than can omit water.

1 tbs maple syrup
1 tbs lime juice
1 drop mint oil
1 c soda
5-6 small cubes of Mint lime ice

1. Chill the highball glass.
2. In a shaker  add syrup, ice and juice, shake.
3. In chilled glass add soda.
4. Wet the rim of glass and dip in brown sugar.
5. Garnish with lemon slice.

*if you don't have mint oil, crush mint in mortar then squeeze between fingers and take the juice out and use that.

Magarita - non alcoholic

5-6 small cubes of citrus ice

1. Chill the highball glass.

5. Garnish with lemon slice.

Sunrise

The hues of this drink, reminds us of the sunrise, deep red to fading yellow.  As refreshing as sunrise.

1 tbs Grenadine syrup
1 c orange juice
5-6 small cubes of ice
1 sprig top of the mint

1. Chill the globe glass.
2. In a shaker  add ice and juice, shake.
3. In chilled glass add grenadine syrup.
4. Add orange juice.
5 Garnish with mint.
6. Serve.

Fire kissed lemonade

This one is not just drink, its remedy for sun stroke, diarrhea and digestive aid.

Ingredients:
2 lime, halved, seeds removed
1 tbs brown sugar
pinch salt
2 pinch peppercorns, crushed
1 c chilled water
10 mint leaves
 walnut size amount dough

1 tall glass

1.  Make two balls out of dough.
2. Roll the balls. Keep aside
3. take 1 half of lemon, top up with 1/2 tbs brown sugar, slight salt, pinch pepper and cover with other half. Repeat.
4. now cover lemons with rolled dough sealing tightly.
5. Roast lemon till dough is completely cooked at slow heat.
6. When slightly cool to handle, peel the dough.
7. Crush the lemon with 1/4 c water and filter.
8. Add chilled water.
9. Serve it with mint leaves
* Variation : Add 1/2 ts cumin in feeling.

Thengai podi - Coconut powder

This powder goes very well as stuffing too. It carries all the benefits of coconut - Protects hair against damage, boosts brain vitality and loose weight.

Ingredients :
1 ts oil (optional)
1 tbs chanadal
1 tbs toordal
1 c urad dal
10-12 peppercorns
3-4 red chilies (you can adjust spiciness according to your taste)
1 c coconut dry, sliced
1/2 ts turmeric
sugar 1 ts
salt as needed

1. First roast chanadal slightly with or without oil
2. Then add toordal very light brown at medium low heat
3. Then add urad dal, peppercorns, and coriander seeds.
4. When it starts to release an aroma and turns golden-brown, add chili, turmeric, and coconut.
5. Continue roasting for another 5 min and turn the heat off.
6.  Keep moving the ingredients in the pot around otherwise it may burn since pot will be hot.
7. When it cools down, add salt and sugar and grind it into coarse powder. (Some people like it fine but I feel the coarse gives more texture and is fragrant.)
8. Store in airtight container.


=> For multiplying the recipe you don't need extra oil unless it's very large batch
